It ain’t pretty.

The culmination of our marauding is decadent and perverse.

The indulgent savoring moment of conquest and seizure is uniquely gratifying.

We scoop the loot with our calloused clutches and rain the jewels and doubloons, glittering and twinkling, down over us like a shower of moondust bathing a fiendish troll. It is a glory and a travesty all at once.

For just one, brief moment, we are Royal.

Like the filthy pirate gently placing the tiara upon his mired, scarred, and dullard cranium, we are aware of our unworthiness. Yet we bask in the luxury of opulence and subjugation anyway.

But as we've all learned, you can put lipstick on a pig, but you can't hide ugly.

Such is the fortune, and volition, and curse, of Pillaging Matt.
